So instead, we looked for an easy way to clean a microwave and came across these guides! Let’s start with the first one, all you need is water, vinegar, a cloth, and a microwave-safe bowl.
How to Clean a Microwave with Vinegar
What You Need:
• Water
• Vinegar
• Microwave-safe bowl
• Cloth or sponge
Instructions:
Pour equal parts water and vinegar into the bowl and microwave on high for five minutes. The steam will loosen any caked-on food, making it much easier to wipe away. Let the bowl sit in the microwave for another minute before removing it carefully. Wipe down the inside of the microwave with a damp cloth or sponge. How to Clean a Microwave with Lemons
This is very similar to the vinegar method and also works great!
What You Need:
• Water
• Lemons
• Microwave-safe bowl
• Cloth or sponge
Instructions:
Cut the lemons in half and squeeze the juice into the water. Place the lemon halves in the water as well. Microwave on high for three minutes. The steam will help loosen any dirt and grime. Let the bowl sit in the microwave for another minute before removing it carefully. Wipe down the inside of the door and the inside of the microwave with a damp clean cloth. Baking soda is a great cleaning agent and can be used in many different ways. If your microwave is still dirty after trying one of the first two steps, a baking soda scrub is a great next step to finish the job.
What You Need:
• Water
• Baking soda
• Cloth or sponge
Instructions:
Mix water and baking soda together until you have a paste. Spread the paste all over the inside of the microwave. Let it sit for a few minutes before wiping it away with a non-abrasive sponge or cloth. Finally, wipe off any residue with another clean cloth with water and you’re done!
